Another important thing is your budget. Traveling around Africa can be really cheap. It basically costs around 70-100 $. Food and accommodation can be really cheap here. However, here the trip might cost more than you expect as chances are you have a great possibility of spending more than you expected. You have to have a clear idea about the cost of your entire travel. To avoid the unavoidable circumstances, you must have enough cash with you that will help you to get through the entire travel and allow you to have enough cash for emergencies. Do you know the currency of the palaces you are headed? There are a lot of currencies that are in play throughout Africa. Depending on the places that you are going to visit, you must do some research for this concern.

You will not face much issues with papers while traveling around Africa. However, if you are from the US, you might need some vaccinations or immunizations. Consult with your Primary Care Provider for this concern. Let them know that you are going to travel around Africa. Papers are also very important. You have to have the proper documents and permissions with you. Just remember that your passport is not only enough to get you through your destination. Sometimes you might be needing documents that you never had thought of.

As Africa is relatively cheaper, we recommend you to take as much time as possible while traveling here. Time is another important factor. You have to particularly know the length of your travel and more or less everything depends on this factor. Depending on the time you have in your hand, you will be deciding the spots that you will be able to see and that will decide the amount of money you will end up spending. However, traveling entire Africa can take a lot of time as it is huge and almost all the places are common. So, before you plan your trip you should know the places really well.

Transportation is a key factor while traveling. If you can drive then you must get an international driving license. A single word can be enough to describe the transportation in Africa, which is “Rough”. Otherwise, it is cheap and lending a care here is also very cheap as well.

The places you will be crashing in nights throughout your travel is not negligible. It will always be a tug of war between cost and comfort. Africa is well known for its hospitality.

One thing that we won’t be able to imagine our life without is food. Food here might be a slight different to your taste buds. It has a slight relevance with Indian cuisine.

We know you are traveling so that you can get lost in our own mind. However, do not forget that ‘communication’ is as important as enjoyment. You may have issues with communication. Know the right SIM cards to get and you will be able to avoid any unwanted situations. Now, most of Africa is under 3G and 4G coverage. Just be sure that the places you are headed are covered by the operator you will be in.

Language can be an issue here. Language is the medium through which we convey our messages to others. There are 11 main languages here which are mostly related to Arabic. However, you will find English speaking people on the main tourist spots.

Be respectful to the laws, customs, and cultures of the place that you in. Most of the African people are humble. However, there are some places like Somalia where you should be careful. Try avoiding the places for your own safety.

Most importantly, the last question that you should ask yourself is, “Why do you love to travel?” What do you want to see in Africa and the answer will help you to plan your trip.
