Bagha Mosque is a Mughal period mosque adorned with beautiful terracotta carvings in a unique architectural style. It is located on the east south side of Rajshahi city, the distance is about 50 to 52 km, near the headquarters of Bagha upazila and is situated within a wall.Towards the royal dome, one of the 500-year-old architectures engraved with terracotta designs, the Bagha Mosque is decorated with various designs, including roses. Once seen on a 50 taka note and a 10 taka commemorative stamp, the engraved Bagha Mosque is one of the 500 years old architectural monuments of the Shahi Masjid in Bagha Upazila.

It is known from history that thousands of years ago, Hazrat Maulana Muazem ​​Dola Oli, son of Hazrat Shah Abbas, a descendant of Harunu Rashid, Caliph of Abbasi Amal, Baghdadi, left his home and family and came to Bangladesh and settled in the deep forest of Bagha in Rajshahi. He laid the foundation stone of the Bagha Mosque at that time. Later, the mosque was completed by Hazrat Sultan Nasiruddin Nasrat Shah, son of Alauddin Shah, founder of Husain Shahi dynasty from 1523 to 1524. He dug a huge tank in front of the mosque.

Adjacent to the Shahi Mosque, the dighi is on 52 bighas of land. There are rows of coconut trees around this tank. Every year during the winter, the area becomes famous for the gathering of innumerable guest birds and kaltan. At present four paved banks of the lake have been constructed. The mosque is enclosed by a boundary wall on an altar 8 to 10 feet above the ground. There are two large entrances in front of the mosque, two entrances on the north and south side. Some of the ten domes of the mosque are clearly visible.

The historic mosque is 75 feet long, 42 feet wide, 24 feet 6 inches high, 7 feet wide, 8 feet wide, 24 feet in diameter, 12 feet high, and 12 feet high. L for proper care

Parts of the exterior walls and carvings on the north side have been eroded by the passage of time, and the beautiful arches of the exterior walls contain numerous terracotta carvings, including mango, water lily, herbs and thousands of Persian handicrafts.

The roof collapsed in the 1897 earthquake. Inside and outside the mosque there are lots of burnt clay tablets. Inside the mosque there is a special prayer room built a little higher in the north-west corner. There is disagreement about this,

Adjacent to the mosque is the mausoleum of Jahar Khaki Pir, on the north side of the main mausoleum is his tomb l and on the right side of the entrance is the ajukhana l and inside the boundary of the mosque there is a beautiful flower garden in the west-south corner, and several cemeteries in the north-east corner.

Ways to get to Bagha Mosque:
From Dhaka you have to come by road, rail and air first to Rajshahi city. AC buses of Desh Travels and Green Line Paribahan go to Rajshahi from Kalyanpur and Gabtali in Dhaka. The rent is 800 to 1000 Tk. Besides, buses of Shyamli Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise, National Travels, Bablu Enterprise etc. used to come and go from Gabtali and Kalyanpur of Dhaka to Rajshahi. The rent is 500 to 500 Tk. From Dhaka’s Kamalapur, the intercity train Silkcity Express leaves for Rajshahi at 2.40 pm every day of the week except Sunday and the intercity train Padma Express leaves at 11:10 pm every day except Tuesday. The easiest way to get to Bagha from Rajshahi is by bus. Baghar bus leaves from Rajshahi Shiril bus stand. The rent is 40 to 45 rupees. You can also add CNG reserves and bikes.
